AMANDA CHEN

Originally from Houston, TX, Amanda is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. As a Chinese-American, she strives to uplift minority voices, especially those of young filmmakers. Amanda is an associate producer at DFI Studio, working closely with the production team to coordinate the logistics during pre-production and production.

From a young age, Amanda has worked as an editorial and portrait photographer, kickstarting her interest in cinematography and later the writing side of filmmaking. Amanda has collaborated with several other photographers and models to bring each other's creative visions to life.

Amanda studied at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where she maximized the knowledge demonstrated in the classroom and utilized it in independent projects. Amanda has worked on several films as producer, director of photography, and writer.
